We're not an agency.
We're a small, senior team. No growth-at-all-costs, no junior developers billing at senior rates, no account managers adding a layer between you and the actual work. When you brief us, you're talking to the people building your product.
What we do
We cover three areas: software development, graphic design, and desktop publishing. Not because we wanted to build a full-service agency — but because the work naturally overlaps. A trading platform needs both a backend and a dashboard UI. A product launch needs both a web presence and print materials. We got tired of handing clients off to other vendors mid-project.
How we work
Remote-first, async-first. We've worked with clients across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. Time zones are manageable when you communicate in writing and don't require daily check-ins to make progress. We use Slack, email, and GitHub — nothing exotic.
Projects start with a written brief. Scopes are fixed before work begins. If something changes, we agree on it in writing before we proceed. The goal is that you never get an invoice that surprises you.
Why "PyChicken"?
Chickens have a reputation they don't deserve. Research into avian cognition over the last two decades has upended the assumption that birds are simple creatures. Chickens demonstrate object permanence, basic arithmetic, self-control, and — in some studies — empathy. They're also highly productive, relentlessly focused, and not prone to grand gestures.
That's the kind of team we want to be. Grounded, capable, and focused on the actual work.
